It's been confirmed. Phil Shaw will prepare himself for the Olympic tryouts, aiming for a participation to the next Winter Olympic Games in Vancouver.This would be a first for Phil, and will require intense training, and good results in this season's upcoming competitions, and tryouts.

"To have a chance at making the Canadian National Team I would have to win a Noram. Furthermore, I would have to perform by placing amongst the top finishers at all the fall of 2009 Norams. A huge challenge and a very difficult one. More than ever I am training with passion and vigor. Despite the physical efforts of training I cherish seeing nature's beauty. Les gens de TVA sont encore les plus "correct" quand vient le temps de promouvoir un espoir, un peu de rêve, dans l'esprit des gens du Québec. Je crois des gens qui, comme Phil, croient que chaque individu peut faire une différence; peu importe d'où il vient, ou ses moyens. Que le rêve de chaque humain contient un but, une mission, dépassant toutes attentes... Peu importe vos opinions, chez les nouveaux humains, c'est l'intellect qui compte. Nous "devons", nous astreindre à comprendre que c'est l'esprit, notre esprit, qui nous sauvera tous. Phil Shaw transporte avec lui ce que toute la race humaine transporte avec elle: l'espoir que certaines fois un rêve, est plus fort que tout! Toutes mes amitiés, Yves DL.
